Croissant
Ingredients:
• 2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
• 1/4 cup warm water
• 1 cup cold milk
• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup unsalted butter, cold
Prepare the dough:
Mix an appropriate amount of flour, sugar and salt together.
Add the yeast to the warm milk and let it activate for 5-10 minutes.
Add the activated yeast mixture to the flour and gradually stir it into a dough.
Add the softened butter and continue to stir until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Fermentation:
Place the dough in a warm place for fermentation until it becomes larger. It should take about 1-2 hours, depending on the ambient temperature.
Douf rolling:
After fermentation, take out the dough and roll it into a large and thin triangle.
Cutting and filling:
Cut the rolled dough into even triangular slices.
Put your favourite filling on the wide end of each triangle, if it's sauce or chocolate sauce.
Curling:
Starting from the wide end, curl each triangle into horns, and then put the formed horns on the baking tray.
Secondary fermentation:
Let the horns ferment on the baking tray for a second time until they become fluffy, and wait for about 30 minutes.
Baking:
Put in an oven that has been preheated to the appropriate temperature and let it bake until the croissant is golden brown and the surface is crispy.
Cooling:
Take it out of the oven and let the croissants cool for a while.
And now, you can enjoy homemade delicious croissants!!!
